Local Hero Saves MUNI

I am going to go ahead and take credit* for MUNI service interruptions finally being put on the NextMuni LED boards. I made a service request back in April after there was some problem in the tunnel keeping the T from running. The LED boards and nextmuni.com just said that the next trains would show up in thirty or forty minutes. My walk home is about the same amount of time. Plenty of time to patiently navigate the menus of 311 and politely explain an idea: when there are problems, put them on the Nextmuni website and the LED boards.

This is the first time I’ve seen it in action:

IT WAS ME*!

Adulations can be heaped upon me at your leisure.

* there is no evidence that it was my phone call that put the wheels in motion.

THANK YOU! Glad to see that Muni is finally moving into the late 20th century. Next thing you know, the T will run at reasonable intervals and the sign boards’ predictions will start to show some accuracy…
