My apologies for being too late up to do more than retweet for the last week, so I’ve dropped the ball on trumpeting the Bold Italic’s 2nd Annual 3rd Base Microhood.

The Bold Italic says:

The Bold Italic and Triple Aught Design present the second annual 3rd Base Microhood, co-presented by Rickshaw Bagworks, DodoCase, Olivier’s Butchery, and Magnolia Pub & Brewery. Happening Thursday, Jan. 17th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., we’re celebrating the merchants, designers, artists, and other visionaries that are transforming the intersection of 3rd and 22nd in the Dogpatch into a destination microhood for dining, wining, ice cream, apparel, beer, chocolate, custom bags and more.

The Bold Italic is joining forces with many Dogpatch businesses including La Stazione Coffee & Wine Bar, Poco Dolce, Alter Eco, Orange Photography, Chula Design, Gorilly, Oberon Design, Almanac Beer, Doc’s of The Bay, Zipcar, Spicy Vine Spiced Wine, Mobilized, Sutton Cellars, Piccino, The Workshop Residence, and Indigo Hand Loom. More participating businesses will be announced as they are confirmed.

Expect unmissable discounts, special treats, free drinks, and an assortment of amazing surprises. Here’s a taste of what you can expect.

Triple Aught Design will offer a manufacturing process demonstration, complimentary hot chocolate and outside, the Doc’s of the Bay food truck will be on hand with amazing burgers, fried chicken and signature red bell pepper ketchup.

Rickshaw Bags will host a special Disposable Film Festival screening, Papergirl SF will be on hand, the iPie Store will be selling delicious pies, plus Spicy Vine Spiced Wine will offer a tasting, and you can tour the factory and Rickshaw retail shop while enjoying a complimentary beer.

Stop by DODOCase for 10% off all products plus on-site monogramming, an Almanac Beer tasting, Nosh This chocolate tastings, and Orange Photography photo booth.

Get a delicious Hot Pot of Beef Bourguinon for only $8 and a free beer from Olivier’s Butchery.

Magnolia Pub & Brewery will open the doors to offer exclusive tours of their soon to open Dogpatch brewery.
Dogpatch’s own winery, Sutton Cellars, will host a tasting and wine by the glass.

International food purveyor, Alter Eco will be sampling delicious chocolate from Peru and Ecuador.

Popular restaurant Piccino will be hosting free coffee cuppings, starting at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 pm.

Poco Dolce will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary with an exclusive tasting of a couple of our signature chocolates and the added option of participating in a “Chocolate Flight” for only $5.00.

In addition to their popular menu, Serpentine will feature select Magnolia Beers on tap for only $3 as part of 3rd Base.

Third Street Boxing Gym will be hosting demonstrations and extending limited time offers for the gym.

Giggling Yoga will be handing out passes for free yoga classes.

Chula Design will be offering free treats and libations to folks that stop by.

The Workshop Residence will extend discounts on their limited edition products, created in collaboration with makers of all disciplines.

Oberon Design will be offering wholesale prices and discounts on framed mirrors and artwork from DWR, Restoration Hardware, and Pottery Barn.

Brand new to the neighborhood, La Fromagerie will be sampling their delicious cheeses as part of the festivities.
