On Thursday I stopped by the Rickshaw Bagworks factory to see “the Way Bobby Sees It,” the documentary about Bobby McMullen. Bobby was on hand to crack wise and answer questions, and while he occasionally comes off as abrasive in the film, in person, he was relaxed and charming. When faced with incapacitation from his own body trying to destroy itself, he focused on what he loved: riding bikes. When asked about his favorite bike, he would reply that it was whatever bike he was on. When asked about his favorite trail, he couldn’t be pinned down, instead relaying why each place he put wheel to dirt was so fun. Thanks to Rickshaw for hosting, and to Bobby for being so positive and inspirational.
